Stuart is a seasoned financial professional with approximately 22 years of industry experience. Currently, Stuart is excited to serve as a Senior Wealth Advisor with the nation’s largest independent broker dealer, LPL Financial.

Prior to joining LPL, Stuart spent 15 years with Stifel, serving as a financial advisor and guiding clients through complex financial landscapes with tailored solutions and personalized service. Stuart joined Stifel to continue the legacy his father, Andy, started in the industry in the early 1980’s. It is a family pillar to serve with integrity and honesty to strengthen the trust our clients entrust with us.

Stuart’s career includes significant experience at Eagle Asset Management, where he excelled as the Vice President of Institutional Sales. In this capacity he worked with entities with a minimum of $50 million and provided strategic investment advice. Prior to Eagle, Stuart worked for Wachovia Securities as the Vice President of Business Development. This role placed Stuart as the liaison between clients and the most successful advisors in the firm and created best practices to share with other advisors to help foster growth and improve client relationships. Stuart began his career with The Hartford as a mutual fund and annuity wholesaler, leveraging best practice sales ideas with all the different investment institutions to support financial advisors in different firm cultures to grow their businesses.

Outside of his professional achievements, Stuart is dedicated to his family and community. Stuart has been married since 2005 to Sally, and they have two daughters, Nancy (2011) and Gwyneth (2013). Stuart is active in his church, Highland Presbyterian. Stuart also serves on the boards of Fayetteville State University and was a past chair of that board, along with The First Tee of the Sandhills. His civic involvement includes The Kiwanis Club of Fayetteville, The CARE Clinic, and led an exploratory committee to expand arts offerings in Cumberland County. In the time he has left, he likes to play golf, fly fish in the mountains, and spend time at the coast.
